Please help me pick a first course!

Please help me pick a first course!

We have like a million different options and I don't know what to pick!

There's even more than this...but I already cut out the ones that I don't want.

What would you want?

-Cold antipasto
-Roasted portobello w/ gorgonzola
-Jumbo lump crab cake
-Melon and prosciutto di parma
-Shrimp cocktail
-New England clam chowder
-Lobster Bisque

There's also a million different types of pasta options w/ different sauces....but I cut that out because I want something a little different. The options that I'm not crazy about are: (but I'm willing to be flexible if you think a lot of guests would want it...)

-Lentil Vegetable soup
-Tortellini in Brodo
-Cream of wild mushroom
-Minnestrone
-Escarole and Bean
-Pasta e Fagioli
-Fresh mozzarella and tomato
-Eggplant Rollatini
-Seafood Salad

I would love the Roasted portobello w/ gorgonzola
or the crab cake

out of the the ones you arent crazy about the Eggplant Rolletini

Do you only have to pick 1

Crab Cake...yummy!!!

My second pick would be fresh mozzarella and tomato. That's always a favorite with people.

i like the Roasted portobello with Gorgonzola the most ... it's good because everyone can eat it (even vegitarians) ... plus, a lot of people don't like seafood.

Agreed it's a good vegetarian option but I know a lot of people that don't like gorgonzola (including myself so I am a little bias)

I think it also depends on what kind of foods/stations you're having at CH.

For instance, one of our passed apps is crab cakes, so we're not having that for the First Course.

LOVE crabcakes

Tortellini in Brodo is a soup - it's basically tortellini in chicken broth. It's my fav soup

I'm a very picky eater, so I'd pick shrimp cocktail.

If I wasn't so picky, I'd do the mushroom.

i always looooove a good bowl of NE Clam Chowder or some Eggplant Rollentini.

I would be hesitant to do the portobello mushroom...people are hit or miss w/ mushrooms!
