I feel like a budget can vary so much...you could throw a wedding for 300 guests at $30,000 or a wedding for 100 guests at $100,000.

I think the best place to start is to figure out how much you can afford overall.

well said! you have to determine your amount and work from there..

I think the number of guests can really drive your costs through the roof. For my wedding everything I do has to be multipliedby 250.

I also found the knot to be a little off for me as well. But at the same time it was the most useful of all the budget tools on any wedding website.

Sit down think about what is important to you and sort of break up your budget according to where you would like to put the most money into.

Oh ok. Well then, getting a resonable price per person at your RH is the most important thing obviously. You can probably do the rest for a much more reasonable price if you bargain hunt and DIY.

there is a thread on here somewhere called 'What did you spend on all your vendors combined?' or something like that..
It gave a breakdown of what everyone has spent on DJ, Venue, Flowers, Entertainment, and other costs like wedding gown, favors, invitations, etc.

It really all adds up..but I agree the biggest cost is the RH.

Went to the knot and definetly got an idea.. thanks for the help ladies..

No help from anyone, this is all on FH & I.. we have NO money saved, except for what we got for our engagement party this past weekend and do not make alot of money. So this is going to be extremily hard for us. I'm actually starting to second guess our RH choice. [good thing we didnt book yet]

Seriously- Christina try to be realistic when it come to the pp rate for your RH, especially if its JUST you and FH alone. You guys are very young and the last thing you would wantis to start out in debt behind a wedding.
