Re: please help me with florist suggestions.....
I never heard anything bad about them until today and now I am FREAKING OUT!!!
They did my friend's wedding... beautiful! Arrived on time, early even...the flowers lasted like a week! (I was in BP)
I don't know why people say anything but great things! I really liked them when I met with them, but this has just been my experience so far.

Re: please help me with florist suggestions.....
i haven't said anything until now--but I am not understanding all the negativity about BURTONS-everyone is entitled to their opinion --- so here's mine! LOL They have been so good to me thus far and the price is right--i have heard such great things about them and mike was so great to deal with-i think it depends on your personality--if you're looking for someone to jump up and down about your wedding then you won't find that because he is not that type of guy--he is very laid back and kind and they're always on time, the flowers stay fresh and they charge an arm and a leg-so i wouldn't rule them out until you checked them out yourself-- there-i've said my piece! it was just bothering me because when i was looking @ FLORISTS-nobody would say a bad thing about them-then all the sudden all these stories came out----so it just was weird to me-just had to vent-

Re: please help me with florist suggestions.....
endlessluv... I'm happy you posted. I was actually a bit afraid to express my opinion on what has been going on. I also booked Burtons and was very happy with the price, Mike's helpfulness and even the woman who wrote up our contract. I went in knowing what I wanted my bouquet to look like, and it all fell into place from there, due to Mike's expertise.
I've also read some really great reviews about Burton's on other sites. I completely understand that sometimes people have a good 'feeling or experience' when meeting with vendors, but that doesn't mean everyone will have the same experience.
For those of us who have booked with Burton's, I'm sure everything will be beautiful.

Re: please help me with florist suggestions.....
You guys are making me a little nervous. I booked with Burtons. My sister in law used them for her wedding and i thought the flowers were beautiful. I wasn't crazy about her choice of flowers, but thats what she wanted and Burtons did as she asked.
When i booked i wasn't crazy about the lady i dealt with, Jill. However, i put aside the fact that she rushed me and went on their reputation and booked anyway. Good-luck!

If you decide to go with Burtons I don't think you will be disappointed, I was extremely happy with them. While I was planning last summer, I saw negative reviews after I booked them, and the brides who had negative comments usually said to just make sure you show pictures of what you want and see exact samples before, and if it's not what you want, be very clear and specific on what you want changes. I followed this advice and was happy.

Re: please help me with florist suggestions.....
A friend used Burtons and she was happy with them. I have heard a couple of negative things about vendors that I am using and although we want our vendors to do no wrong, the thing is that mistakes do happen. I am not going to go looking for a new limo co. b/c one person was unhappy. All negative comments that I have heard, I will bring up to the vendor personally. And I also plan on visiting Burtons. Because of my friends first hand experience and the price. I am not a fan of flowers all over the place and to spend $4K plus isn't reasonable to us. Like Nina stated, be very clear of what you want. Bring picture as samples so they know what you are looking for.

I agree with drawing your own conclusions on vendors. everyone has different experiences, personalities, etc. Ive only heard good things about burtons. haven't read any of the posts you guys are referring to, though.
But, Im using Flower Michele. And John always gets my vote.
