Please help- my cousin RSVPd and included his 2 kids

So one of my cousins in Boston RSVPd to our wedding and included his two young children on the RSVP. We are not having any children under 12 at our wedding other than my 8 y/o half brother. this is mainly because FH is a little older than me and we have a ton of friends with kids, and it would literally add on another 20-30 people.

Regardless, I need to send him an email telling him that his kids are not welcome... what should I say? Do I need to give him an explanation. This is a black tie optional wedding on Sunday night memorial day weekend.

I can offer to help find him a babysitter at the hotel...

Please help!

i would just deal with it if anyone else say anything he is coming from out - of- town and he is family if any more family memebers say they wanna bring kids then i would get a babysitter someone the can also trust or have them find one and pay for it

SO RUDE - Had a similiar situation - bottom line you are not having kids at your wedding that is that if they dont like it - they dont come - not sure why people want to bring there kids to a wedding anyway - If thier names are not on the invite tkhey should not be putting them on the RSVP

Hi everyone- thanks for all your responses. since i am not from NY, we have a lot of people (family and friends) coming from out of town who have found sitters for their kids. i think i will have to contact him and apologize for misunderstnading and offer to find a sitter. but it would def cause an uproar if we had thsoe 2 kids there, while everyone else has found someone to watch their kids.
