My friend upstate is having major problems TTC. She has had two rounds of IVF where they implanted three the first time, two took and then she lost them. The second they implanted two and one took but she lost it early on just this Thursday. She is heartbroken and disgusted. She feels that maybe the doctors up there aren't 'up' on their professions since they can't offer her any information or clues as to why this is happening. She's looking for some information on doctors who have had success w/IVF in the LI/NYC area. Since I have no personal recommendations for doctors in this area - I was looking to get some info from some of you who have had positive experiences and success with IVF.
Whatever it takes at this point to make her happy. She's such an incredible person and is going through alot emotionally right now (her Mom has Stage II B/C, her father in law has Stage III colon cancer and now another miscarriage )
Thanks!!

Re: Please help my friend...
I am truly sorry for your friend, she is really having it rough, and deserves to have something good happen to her and her family.
I personally havent gone thru IVF (yet, and hopefully wont have too) but I do go to RE specialist in Manhasset, at north shore hospital.
that have a whole division there and it is really nice - its the division of Human Reproduction,
My Dr. is Dr. David L. Rosenfeld, I have only been going there for about a month, but It seems very good.
My RE is Dr Davis and he is great. I have also heard wonderful things about Dr Chung and Dr Spandorfer.

I would have to agree with Lisa, that Cornell is supped to be the best. I have an appt with Dr. San Roman in Stonybrook in two weeks., so I can give you my opinion then

Re: Please help my friend...
I know it may be far, but RMA of NJ is fantastic!!! They have several offices, one in Englewood, right by me thats just outside of the GWB. These people have helped my sister in words that I cant describe. She suffered four miscarriages, one after another, after hearing heartbeats, it was devastating for her, they discovered she and her husband were producing too many chromosomes..so through IVF, they did whats called a PGD and took out the chromosomes, somthing like that..anyhow, she had a beautiful baby boy, hes nine months and she just went back in a few weeks ago, and we found out the day after Thanksgiving that she is having TWINS!!!! This place was written up in Newsweek as being one of the best fertility clinics in the nation. Definately check it out! I am going there too, and my husband and I are choosing adoption over IVF, for many reasons..but I have complete confidence in them. Let me know if you need more info
