please help. need suggestions.

I am taking a little planning break for the holidays. But when I start up again I believe I will need to be in full force as I've only got my hall, band, photographer/video and girls dresses.
Where would you suggest I hit next?
Favors? Limos? Invites? I need one of those check lists. A really deatailed one.

I didn't see it mentioned, so forgive me if I overlooked it...but I would start with your dress.

I think you have time for favors, limos and invites. Invites should be purchased about 4 months prior to your wedding - assuming that's enough time for them to order, you to receive and assemble, then mail out with a decent RSVP date.

Look into hair & makeup - they seem to book quick.

Rings...honeymoon.

I would wait on the invites, and flowers.. just because you taste may change over the course of 6 months. Favors are fun to do-especially if you are doing/wrapping yourself. You can also shop for limos now ( they say that the earlier that you book them the better). go shopping and have fun with it.. Did you think about a HM yet? Did you get your gown yet?

I agree, if you haven't started on your gown, tackle that first. After that I would say start looking into the honeymoon. If you and FH need passports, work on getting those too.

Relax, you're fine. You are just about where I am -- and my date is before yours! Actually, if anything, you are a little ahead of me because I haven't even started looking for the BM gowns and I only shopped for my gown for the first time this past Friday . I just booked my DJ on Saturday (Hey, I had a fairly productive weekend!). I'm also taking a break from bookings until after the holidays. I will just be working on the guestlist, my STDs, and shopping for gowns. I scheduled the first shopping trip for the BMs in January just to give everyone a chance to recover from the holidays. You'll be fine... take a look at the planning checklist on here or on the knot.com.

Don't feel overwhelmed. You should be having fun with it. Get a planner if you don't have one already. I am the biggest scatterbrain when it comes to paperwork.. The best thing that I can tell you is Organize.. make lists and lists of ideas, things to do etc. Keep it all in one spot so that you can refer to it when you do go vendor shopping. I have ideas and pictures that I didn't even know that I kept that ended up helping me in the long run. Take a break, enjoy the holidays and then you will have a clear mind when your in Wedding Mode.
enjoy your engagement and the holidays!
