I would use caution with this, as it seems like it would be a huge undertaking to contact all your guests, not to mention your vendors, and change everything 3 weeks in advance. Also, I am sure that your current hall will give you a really hard time, being that its 3 weeks before the date and they cannot rebook the hall. My contract says that I am liable for all costs if I cancel, unless someone else books the day-check this before trying to rebook, as I am sure you dont want to end up paying for 2 receptions! I am sure the wedding will be beautiful no matter what the room setup is! Good Luck!

I agree, your hall will most likely penalize you for this and I'm sure with just a couple of weeks away from the wedding you've already put alot of money into this. I think changing this will probably add extra stress to your wedding, is the place really that bad? By the way did you ever get to see it before you booked it?

Well I just wanted to Thank you all for all of your help and support. After much thought I have decided to stick with the Danfords. I think I was just a little freaked when I first saw the place and it was not as I had pictured it would be (I live in FL so I wasn't able to get to LI until just last weekend to see the place...my family has stayed there before and I had my grandmother check out the place but I guess she forgot to tell me about the dance floor). I spoke to my DJ and asked him about it and he said it would not be a problem at all and that they would make sure to get the people up and dancing and make sure that they all know when all the important stuff is going on.
Plus, then I started to think about why I booked the Danfords in the first place...because it is on the water and has a spectacular view. I guess it just wasn't the typical wedding place that I had pictured in my mind....but I think that will make it unique. But most of all, in the end I don't think it really matters where we are as long as FH and I are together with our family and friends.

Glad to hear you're feeling better about Danford's - it will be a beautiful wedding, on gorgeous day (We WILL have amazing weather on our wedding day!!)

Now you can relax these last few weeks and finish all the smaller stuff!
