With less than 7 months to go I have no idea what colors to do for flowers. I've met with the florist and I am even more at a loss than I was and I really have to make a decision this week. The BM dresses are black and the room for the reception is pretty much all white. The wedding is a Saturday night in October. Any thoughts??? Thanks in advance...

You can do anything....I am a big fan of abandoning the rules and getting whatever you want...do you have a favorite color or a favorite type of flower?
You can get pretty much anything to match black....

That's the problem, I have too many choices, you know?
I don't think that I want to do Fall colored flowers, but I don't know what I do want to do. FH likes all Red, but I don't know...yup, i've had to make one decision too many and I have pretty much lost the ability to make any further decision. So overwhelmed...

Well, my BM's are wearing cornflower blue and MOH's are in periwinkle...
I wanted happy, unique colors for my flowers. So, the BMs and MOHs are carrying hot pink and yellow mini calla lilies and I will be carrying all different shades of pink and yellow roses with stephanotis...
Look in wedding magazines...eventually something will grab you and you will say that is what I have to have!!!!

I thought I new what I wanted for flowers, but then when I met with the florist, I became totally lost To me, all flowers are pretty - how can you narrow it down to one flower and one color?! Give me them AAAALLLLLL

Black dresses look great with red or hot pink. If you want to stay away from fall colors, maybe bright purples and blues.

For a twist on traditional fall colors, how about coral instead of orange and pinks instead of deep reds? Or maybe adding white and pale yellow flowers to coral flowers.

i think you should do all red--it will look really classy w/the black BM dresses. or you could do a mixture of red, and black magic.

I am a fellow fall bride and my flowers will be fall colored roses. I surfed through some pics of bo-k's on florists' websites and that's how I made my decision. I fell in love with 1 bo-k that was fall colored roses with maple leaves in the background. It was GORGEOUS! I never saw anything like it before.

Thanks, ladies! I took many of your suggestions and when I met with another florist I think that we figured it out. I'm not going to stick with Fall colors for the CP's (going with whites, creams and pale pinks) and I took the suggestion of doing a variation on Fall colors for the BM Bo-Ks and they are going to be red, purple and mango. (sounds odd, but they looked unbelievable). Thanks again! One more thing done....1,000 left to go!
