I'm getting married next November, but I REALLY like a couple of dresses that are considered more 'summery' in style. Specifically, I like halter-top dresses. One in particular that I like has no crenilin and the salesperson at the store said that it is more for a summer or beach wedding, but she showed it to me because I asked for a halter top. I liked it because it magically made my hips disappear!! And you can't go wrong with a dress that does that!!!!
Meanwhile, several members of my family and FH's family have mentioned that my dress should have sleeves (3/4 or full-length) since it'll be in November, but I will only be outside for VERY short spurts of time (and can wear a jacket during those times).
Finally, I'm worried about how cold it will be in the RH (Leonards). My MOH says that I'll be running around and dancing and so excited that I won't even notice the temperature.
Please help!
Thanks, Anna

Re: Please help...gown style for a Nov wedding?
Your wedding is only a few days after my 1st anniversary
My dress is strapless and has a lace bolero jacket.
I know that the lace jacket will not provide any warmth, even though my mom insists that it will
I do not think you'll need to have sleeves in November, and agree with your friend about the adrenaline you'll be feeling ... I doubt you'll notice the temperature at all.
David's Bridal sells capes and shawls, I plan to buy one 'just in case' ...
I did try to stay away from lighter fabrics, like chiffon while shopping. The girl at the dress shop did say that you can wear any fabric in any season, but chiffon seemed too light for November to me personally.
Go with the dress that makes you feel beautiful ... the one that makes you feel the most beautiful you have ever felt. THAT is the ONE dress for you.

I think that fabric is more important than cut in determining which 'season' a dress belongs in. Most dresses (satin, lace, etc) are pretty seasonless. I'd say unless your dress is a slinky chiffon number, than its probably fine to wear it year round. And if if it's not, its your wedding! Do what you want!

hmmmm...I agree...wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Also...I feel the need to point out...My catering hall said the weather has been so crazy...last year in November was the first time in 9 years they were able to have an outside ceremony.
Mima makes a good point about fabric. Don't worry...you'll find the perfect dress. Do you have any pics of the one you like? Maybe we can help find some similiar styles.
