I want to book my photographer by the end of this month. Please help
Do you recommend having two photographers instead of one? Is there a difference?

I think you need t go with your gut and whatever makes you comfortable. Only you will know exactly what is right for you and your situation.

I think it comes to style that you prefer and also the 'connection' that you have with the photographer since you will be spending a lot of time with them on your wedding day. We booked Imagine Studios and their work is amazing and they have been great to work with so far! Best of luck!!

We're going with Imagine. The last 3 friends of mine have used them inlcuding my next cousin who is getting married next month. Lia is so sweet and knows her stuff. Nelson is great too...we can't wait for them to do our wedding!! Good luck to you!

I am biased! I used velvet I had 2 photographers
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WORTH IT! Here are some pics the color is one photographer and the b/w is the candid photographer
i agree with another post 'go with who you were comfortable with' I felt totally comfortable with Bob and he di a great job

It seem that I'm leaning towards Bob from Velvet Studios. I also like Imagine's work but Lia and Nelson are not available on my wedding date. The photographer that would do my wedding if I chose them is not well known. Matter of fact, she seemed pretty new in the game and it would only be her, no other photographers. However, I did like their video
Velvet is giving me two photographers and its the famous Bob and the rest of the fam that would be doing it. :

I didn't look at Imagine, but I booked with Velvet and really love their work and the packages are pretty reasonable. I also really loved the video!

I booked with Imagine! Check out my engagement pics in my community album. It's about preference. I loved the way that Nelson and Lia work together.

My sister, jeanla4c, used Velvet in 2005 and I loved their work. FH and I decided to look around first, see what we can get for our money before meeting with Bob. I had actually gone with my sister to her meeting with Bob in 2004 and knew he was great! He was even better when we met with him this past spring! Super friendly, treated us like family. Their packages cannot be beat and yes, TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS for that price! I reacently took my epics with Bob and they are in my album- check them out and let us know what happens! Good Luck!

I booked Imagine too...if you go in my albums you can see some of my e-pics...I just took them last night and these are the few she emailed me today. I'll have like 100 more in a few weeks. I LOVE Lia. I think she's amazing. However, if SHE wasn't the one going to be photographing my wedding, I would ask her to show you examples of that photographers work before you booked them. Like the other girls said, go with what you are comfortable with.

I never met with Imagine. They sent me their price list and were out of my budget. I met with a total of 7 photographers and chose Velvet Studio.

I would go with Velvet especially since you cannot get Lia and Nelson to shoot your wedding!

I am also biased towards Velvet since they did a phenomenal job on my wedding!!!!!!! Bob and his wife work so well together and I love that they are a family team (daughter does lighting and son does video). Although I think imagine is also a husband/wife team and they do amazing work too.
You will be happy with either photographer! It is a tough choice, but definitely go with who you feel more comfortable with... we definitely clicked with Bob right away.

Honestly, if I had had the moeny I would have gone with Imagine. I only saw their price list and didn't meet with them because I knew I would be upset that I couldn't afford them. That being said if I had found out that Lia and Nelson weren't available for my day I wouldn't even consider them. In the end I went with Velvet and I have not been disappointed. I was happy with our engagement pics and so far I love everyone's wedding pics who have used them.
