My heart sincerely goes out to you, I can't imagine the stress you are under. THANK GOD your fiance is on YOUR side!!!! Imagine if he wasn't?? What a complete horror that would be.

Try to be happy that the witch won't be there to ruin your wedding day. She is only hurting herself.

As long as you FH is supportive of you, then your marriage will be fine. This woman is seriously disturbed. You may just have to start treating her like the mental concern that she is.

aww I'm sorry to hear all that happened, however remember that this is YOUR wedding this is about you and your FH
I am havinga problem with my mother she is being a huge pain also she has never been really there for me money is the only thing that motivates her, but you know what I am not going to allow any one destroy my dream of marrying my sweet FH I adore this man he has been there by my side through think and thin and I know in the end he will always be there. So do the same :) it is just you and your FH :) no one else counts in this union.

What is heck is wrong with people?!?!

It definitely sounds like she has some sort of chemical imbalance. Some of it may be jealousy too. She may feel like she is 'losing' her son (even though it sounds like they have had a rocky relationship).

If she can be destructive, I would make on suggestion. You said that she wasn't coming to the wedding. I would make sure that you appoint someone to keep an eye out for her so that if she tries to show and disrupt your wedding she can be kept away.

It is good to hear that you FI is supporting you.

wow that is so unbelieveable!!!!! i'm so sorry, i couldn't imagine having to deal with a FMIL like that!!! i would keep your distance, she obviously doesn't have her son's best interest at heart, or she would not act like this to you!!! good luck!!!

OMG, I am so sorry that you have to go through this. Dealing with a FMIL that you don't get along with is one thing. But honestly, there is something wrong with a grown women that keys someone else's car.... someone that's marrying her son, nonetheless. You should not feel bad and neither should your FH. Whatever happens after this, such as her not going to the wedding, potentially losing contact with her son, etc..., she only has herself and her own actions to blame for it.

You know what: Your family just needs to ease up on you. This is a stressful enough time for you ... you need their support. Just go have a nice birthday with your FH and forget everything else.
