Please let me not beat down my FFIL! (LOONG VENT!) **UPDATE AT END!!!!**

okay so my FFIL pretty much hates me (the feeling is mutual). told FH that he's making a mistake for marrying a Hispanic girl (um--FFIL is puerto rican!) since spanish girls are nothing but trouble---and white girls are easier to 'handle' (please don't flame--his words not mine) his father has the ability to brain wash his son and make him feel guilty for things that he would normally be alright about. FFIL is angry that we are not marrying in a church, but at the hall in a non-denominatinal civil ceremony. when FH told him that we're not religious and also it's less expensive to have it at the hall, his response 'If i give you $1,000--will u marry in a church?' mind you--this is the FIRST TIME he's ever offered a penny towards the wedding, and he only wants to give it to get something HE wants!!!! besides FFIL doesn't even HAVE that kind of money, cause he doesn't work and is on welfare/SSI.

what makes me SOOOOOOOO angry is that FFIL is a complete hypocrite! he was married in a church years ago--and he cheated on his wife, and has been living with his mistress and their SIX kids for the past 15 yrs. even though he's still married to my FMIL. he broke her spirit soooo badly that he actually still has control over her, and gets her to give him money and help take care of his kids sometimes! W T F !!! this is the man who is demanding we marry in a church! sounds like a real holy man, huh?

he has also made FH feel horrible cause we both decided no kids at the wedding. FFIL has grandkids in CO from FH's oldest brother. FFIL doesn't think he should have to go see his grandkids--they MUST be brought to his lazy non-working azz. therefore if we say no kids at wedding, FBIL won't bring them and therefore FFIL won't be able to finally meet them. so he's trying to make my FH feel bad about this--and it's succeeding. now FH is considering changing our no kids policy!!!

i'm ready to rip my hair our with this man. FFIL really knows hot to push FH's buttons, and in turn, mine as well. i just want to scream!!!!!!
