yes, this was the card box that my mom had at her wedding in 2002. I totally forgot about it until I was showing someone at work the card box I just found online.
Mom's wedding was not tacky, very elegant in fact, but then there is this large plastic lawn ornament, marabou covered swan with a box glued on it's back. The fact that she loved the thing so much is the best part. It even has a pearl strand for a bridal (like on a horse) LOL
To me it is hideous, but I know she loved it so much that it's just funny.
It's actually really nice if you're into decorative water fowl.

It is very pretty and very very different. I love different. My brother's GF is working on a different card holder for me. I hope it comes out nice!!!
I was looking for a certian bird cage and one of the girls I work with told me based on my waterfront and shell themes I should have a certian type of card holder. I can't wait until it is done.
I will get a satchel just in case.

I will be very honest. It's very pretty for someone whose in the Mother of a 20-30 something age range. If I saw this at a friend's wedding, and her theme wasn't swans, I'd be worried. If it was my friend's mom, I'd love it!

yes, that's what I think too. I definitly think it is a older adult kind of thing. She loved it so I think its cute that she loved it that much. But me personally, I would never have it. But she likes birds and stuff so it's fitting for her. And if you knew my mom, you would not thing it was out of the oridinary. LOL
