I have so many DIY projects to do (Nobody to blame but myself for that )...but anyway, I know I still have time, but you know how you start something and then start to wonder if it was worth starting..that's how I am feeling..so.... Can you ladies please honestly tell me if I should continue to make these two DIY's?
One is the pewcones for church...but I only have 2 made so far because they take an eternity to make
The other are the hotel bags (OOT Bags) I have only made a couple of them too
I'm just asking because if they are too much or gaudy looking, I am not going to waste time making anymore of them, and of course no one in my family will tell me if they didn't like them if I asked them...but I know you ladies will...please be honest...my feelings won't be hurt...I promise! I think they look gorgeous. Why not have a get together with your bridesmaids and family so they can help you put everything together?

I think they are both really nice... I think the pew cones would look better with maybe an organza bow behind them... Just to add a little touch!

re: the OOT bag, do the bags already have the leaf pattern on them or are you cutting that paper and gluing them onto each bag?

Thanks, I could do that for the oot bags...but the pew cones are a royal PITA.. the ribbon has to be twisted and wrapped, twissted and wrapped, etc., and each wrap has to be glued down with a glue gun...I don't think I have fingerprints anymore from burning myself soooo many times with the glue!!!

That's a good idea, I was going to attach white organza ribbon to the back to hold it onto the pew, I could also make a bow..

I don't think its gaudy. It is a little over powering though with the little leaves on the raffia (it took me a minute at first to notice the little leaves). is it thick paper or tissue? if its tissue paper, you could just have a sheet of that inside the bag with the raffia and little leaves on the outside maybe? or go for a different colored bag perhaps (deep red or green)? just a thought. glueing all of those bags would take up a ton of time. i know i wouldn't have the patience for it, but then again, i tend to be lazy

Those are the most beautiful pew cones I have ever seen, amazing looking, all I can say is WOW....The bag is nice too.

I LOVE the pew cones....gorgous !! Very nice job. As for the OOT bags i think it'll look prettier more simple so if it were me I'd leave the bags plain brown & just add the ribbon with the leaves....for that added fall touch.
