please post your brand of digital camera- buying one for my MOH...

My MOH is my sister and she has done so much for me, especially financially. We dont talk with our mom so she is like my mom. she threw me my shower and has spent a lot of $$ on my wedding so far.I know she wanted a digital camera so I am ging to get her one and give to her at the Rehearsal Dinner...

Could you please post your brand, how many megapixels you have and how much you paid... I know they could run a lot of $$ but I saw ones for like $200-$250 and they are made by Sony... i dont want to go cheap but i cant afford the top of the line.. any suggestions?

Mine is a Canon. 3.2 megapixels. It was $299 from PC Richards. Pic in my profile was taken w/ it. Its great!

i have a Canon 3.2 megapixel.. Its great but i dont want to get her the same one as me.

I saw on bestbuy.com a Sony 3.2 megapixel for 199.99. Looks nice- why is it so cheap...

I have a sony cybershot with 3.2 mp--I love it. It has all sorts of cool features--you can shoot in black & white, sepia, color, polarized, negative, etc. Also mpegs.

ETA: Kdelace--that's the one that doesn't have as many extras. It's physically a little bigger than mine, and doesn't hold up well for action shots.

which one- the $199 one.. one has a model # DSC-P32 and one is DSC p52.. which one do you have and like..

I have a Minolta dimage xt 3.2 megapixel. My mom got it for me for Xmas..she paid around 250 for it from a friend who works for them...which was almost wholesale price. It's really nice and slim, only 3 inches long 2 1/2 inches high and 3/4 inches wide... very tiny, slim camera. I love it, it has so many cool features. I can take short movies with sound, and even add a sound caption to a photo, or just capture a 15 second sound clip (like a voice recorder)
DON'T go to Labelles...they sell refurbished units.

The Canon A70's are VERY nice. That's the one I have, and I'm pretty into taking pictures. (I even have a lens adapter and a few filters for it) I had the sony 3.2, but the features and quality of the pictures of the Canon were so much better I sold the Sony on Ebay and got the Canon.

If you want something better, but $400, try the A80. 4MP, swivel LCD. Sweet camera.

This camera, the Pentax Optio 33 L is SO cool.

It has selective filtering. So you can take a black and white picture where only the reds show. (Example below)

Canon A80 - about $350 ....has rotating screen- which makes it easier to view-especially in the sun...

I have this camera...love it!

*note- Pentex is not good in low light

and ALL have black and white sepia options

I have the Canon Elph 3.2 megapixel. My brother has the Sony 3.2. I must say, unless he doesn't know how to use his camera and the settings are off, my pictures are a million times clearer and better. So... I ended up getting the Canon SD 100 (Also 3.2 megapixel) for my Mom for Christmas. Stick with what ya know!

Olympus Stylus. Its great. Its the one that is water resistant and is 4.0 megapixels.

we just purchased the olympus stylus 3.2 megapixel online for about 240 after rebate. we found the olympus lens cover to be better able to protect the lens. I can't really tell you how much we like it yet because it is literally just out of the box!

I just got the Fuji Finepix s3000. It is 3.2 megapixel, with a 6x optical zoom. You can find it in places like Best Buy for $299, but I ordered it online from B&H photo for something like $259. B&H is very reliable, and there's free shipping. There are so many different settings on the camera, almost like a regular SLR. I love it so far!

Kodak Easy Share DX6490, not sure how much it was - Xmas gift from FH. Believe it's 4 megapixels and also can shoot a short video.

We love it. We had a Canon A300 (I think that was the model) which FH lost but I hated it.

the first one is my FH and the second one is mine. They are both awesome cameras, they are Sony, I had a Minolta before and did not like it, it ate batteries and it was really slow taking pics, I kept missing my sons faces!
