My dad asked me the other day if I had picked a song yet..so I wanted to maybe make a CD of some good songs and give it to him to see which one he likes! So please tell me what song you're going with so I can get some ideas! Thanks!!

anyone know a good song that won't make me cry? Most of these songs make me cry when I just read the title, so I don't think I'd make it through the whole song!

I Loved Her First.
I gave my dad a cd with a bunch of songs on it and asked him to pick. Mom said he played the cd a couple of times because he wanted to make absolutely sure he made the right choice!! I am glad he picked the Heartland song - I feel it's the right song for us.

i loved her first by heartland - its country but its really nice, i dont really care for country so i was suprised. funny thing is my dad was going to sugest it but he thought i would say no cause it was country and i found it and told him... funny

Kenny Chesney 'There goes my life.' It's a bit of a downer but from the first time I ever heard it, it made me think of my Dad. Each time I hear it I cry my eyes out. lol I can't wait to dance with my Dad.

We danced to 'In My Life' by the Beatles. We are both huge Beatles fans and that's my absolute favorite Beatles song.
Not to mention that I grew up listening to 60s music because of my dad and was able to know the marvel of the Beatles only because of him!!

I love I Loved Her First, and also Because You Loved Me -- funny story, I made a CD for my parents' anniversary years ago and put that song on it because I thought it fit them, and my dad thought it fit my relationship with them because of a time I was sick with mono and pneumonia. So, I think it might be a good choice.
My mom has always wanted to me to dance to 'Can't Smile Without You' - she had it picked from when I was a baby! I don't know if it's danceable though.
So I don't know what I am using -- but these are some great ideas! I like 'in my life' and 'lullabye.'
