Sure! I love to cook - it relaxes me. I could watch Food TV all day. I can't wait to register for my good pots and pans!

I watch Foodtv all day also. I am dying for good pots and pans. I am going to wait though for a few years. My sister just brought a whole set of All-Clad Stainless Steel on ebay for a $200-$300 less than the prices she found at dept stores. They are very nice.

Wow - I never thought of looking on eBay for pots and pans. Also, you can look at Amazon.com. Sometimes FH will buy things for me from there. He gets them in his Gold Box every once in a while. He just got me a Le Creuset pot recently (I used it last night - love it!).
One of the things that I'm going to put on my registry is that chopping knife that Rachel Ray always uses

That knife is sooo on my x-mas list. What name brand are you getting the knife? I want something that is good quality. I was thinking on Henckels but the knife is the same shape but a little different on the bottom. The other one is the Wusthof (sp?) but I don't know about its quality.

I love The Bride and Groom's First and Forever Cookbook.

I just received wonderful Mauviel Copper Pots from my mother at my bridal shower. Cooking with them is a dream.

I also am hoping to get a few Henckle knives for Christmas

I have Henckels - the Pro S series. They're awesome. The knife that Rachel Ray uses is called a santoku knife. Both Henckels and Wusthof make one. Maybe Santa will bring you one

THat's the exact one santoku that I asked for!!!!!!! It's supposedly an excellent all purpose knife!

All of the Barefoot Contessa cookbooks are amazing!!! Every single recipe I have tried is super easy and comes out delicious!! I also like Donna Hay Ckbks and Nigella Lawson's.

One of my co-workers was raving about a cookbook called 'Butter Sugar Flour Eggs'. She said the some of the recipes get a little complicated, but all the ones she tried were great.

I love to cook, and think I'm pretty good at it, but when it comes to baking, I'm all thumbs.

AprBride - I was just reading about the Barefoot Contessa cookbook on Amazon.com! I think I'll ask for that. I love her show.

And ss02 - I love to bake a little more than I love to cook, but I try not to bake often. I can cook and eat only a little bit for dinner, but when I bake, especially anything chocolate, I gorge .

The Good Old Betty Crocker Cookbook. I use it more for reference. How long to cook a roast at what temp., how many portions you get out of a 21 lb turkey - that sort of thing. I usually just do my own thing cooking but find this book very useful.

If you work late like me or needs meals fast, I highly recommend Betty Crocker 4 Ingrediant Dinners and Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals 1 & 2 - they are great and I live by them since I don't have hours to cook!

Also, if you want to cook Italian, Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking by Marcella Hazan
is every Italian's BIBLE!

I am a huge cookbook collector. I love getting new cookbooks.
If you don't have many, the Fannie Farmer is a great, all purpose cookbook IMO. I also love any Mrs. Field's books, although some of the recipes take a lot of time. I really enjoy the Rachel Ray cooking show- so I would think that her books are also pretty good, and not too complicated.
