I loved Treasure Island.
I have stayed at MGM, New Frontier and Treasure Island, and Treasure Island is by far my favorite.
I spoke to my travel agent and she has said that Treasure Island has gained in poularity, so the prices have gone up.
Mgm is running a great sale, and the rooms there are really nice too. I liked TI better only because it was smaller, but MGM was great, and it was n agreat location, right across the street is Excalibur, and NY, NY.
MGM was cheaper than TI when we just cheked the prices, because of the sale they are running.
FM if you want the name of my travel agent, she is great and she kows alot about Vegas!!!
We are goign in Auguts and we are staying at the Imperial Palace, becaseu it is really cheap and right on the strip!!

We stayed at Monte Carlo our first year, and paid alot. We have gone every year, and NEVER stay at nice places anymore. I have to admit though my DH and I have gambling problems, so it doesn't faze us to stay at less luxurious places (hahaha). But you may want to check out Bally's - I think they are pretty reasonable, nice and smack in the middle of the strip. If you don't mind spending the cash, then gorgeous hotels on the strip include the Venetian, Bellagio and Paris, just to name a few...
The ones Marcella mentioned are GORGEOUS hotels, but most are not on the main strip if that's where you're looking to stay.

Mandalay Bay (they even have their own wave pool) Bellagio Venetian
A bit cheaper, but still very nice: Treasure Island Luxor

Mandalay Bay is awesome- great pool! I like Paris because it's very centrally located. I hear the Bellagio and the Venetian are gorgeous but pricey!

FH goes every year. This past year he stayed at MGM and loved it. His favorite is still New York, New York.

I stayed at Treasure Island. It was affordable and I thought the room was very nice. Of couse I would love to stay at the Bellagio lol!

if you want nice and affordable in middle of the strip, I would try the EXcalibur or the NY NY
