I think you should choose a veil based on symmetry to your body and how comfortable you feel with it. I'm a petite person who doesn't like a lot of extra flair, and my dress is relatively simple, so I chose an elbow lengthed one with accents that match the details in my dress. I don't have a pic of mine right now, but it matches well with my size and the dress style.
i had a hair trial this past weekend and from wearing a veil for about 5 minutes im almost positive that i want one that is short so i dont sit on it over and over again maybe elbow length? im not really sure though - i guess it all depends on what looks best with my body and dress...

they didn't let you try on veils with your dress? Everywhere I shopped they 'finished' the look with veils...

Gorgeous! I love how the veil is draped over the stairs in that pic.

Mine was elbow length and I have pics of the floral detail (done in crystals and seed beads) but atm I don't have a great pic of it as of yet. I loved it and the design went precisely with my gown.
I also had the blusher velcroed to the veil so that I wore the veil without the blusher after the ceremony.
