Please pray......

So today I got a call about my dad and when to the hosptial and found out he had a stroke......I'm so upset and he can't talk ..just a little here and there but I just didn't have a good day at all

Praying for your family, especially for your Dad. It's tough, try to relax and just think positive :)

I'm so sorry to hear! If you have any questions just FM me. I'm not a neurologist, but in the ER we are the first time for stroke patients.

Thank you...just hard and he lives by himself and lives so far away ..in the hamaptons and i told him that he now has to live by us ...but he thinks he is fine ...drives me crazy .......but they put him on plavix ..just upsets me that he cant talk

So sry to hear that about your dad. I know its tough that he cant speak. My FH dad had a stroke last yr and he lost his speech also but it came back. Ill say a prayer for your dad. Hope everything will be ok.

He is doing well..but its just his speech ..he cant talk in full sentences but that kills me the most ...but they didnt alot of tests today to see whats going on ..but next i hope is OT/PT to get his speech back!! But thank you girls so much for your thoughs and prays

Erin, I am so sorry. We are daddy's girls and it is never easy to see our dads weak, but the best thing you can do for him is Pray and stay positive. I know it's easier said then done. My dad was on hospice for 6 months my 375 pd father was bed ridden and in diapers, Drs said it was only a matter of time, and he proved them all wrong. That was a year ago He is a hospice drop out, is 150 pounds lighter and in remission. My point is NEVER give up hope, and always believe in miracles!! Please let me know if you need ANYThing!

Thank you Kat and he is doing better now. yes i did thank you angela..yea he started PT/OT after my mom yelled at them ..LOL...but i talked to him today and he sounds better and his speech is getting better but still needs to improve

Update...he is doing better still having problems talking and walking ...( and found out he had a minor heart attack too) but he is going to out patient place where he will do PT/OT for a week or so and i hope that he starts to eat better too... to be healthy

Sorry I was on vacation and didn't see this- I know how hard that is to go through. If there is anything we can do--or just being a shoulder-were here. Hope everything is going a little bit better. Sending hugs your way.
