I'll be praying for all of you!

She is in my thoughts and I wish her the best! My father almost had to go for that surgery last year but he had a compromised immune system from a previous treatment to his bladder and the cancer spread to his bones very, very rapidly. From what I recall, with treatment at this phase (where they can still do the surgery), there are better chance for positive outcomes.

I am so sorry to hear about your FMIL. My Dad goes in for surgery on Tuesday, May 25th (my anniversary). :( He was diagnosed in January (12 days after my sister's wedding) with Esophageal Cancer. He was in stage III, so he had chemo/radiation first and now the surgery to remove his entire esophagus and pull up his stomach to serve as an esophagus. We hear it is a very risky and invasive surgery (moreso then even heart surgery). However, we have said our prayers and found a great doctor and hospital! Please know that I will keep your FMIL in my prayers! Please let us know how she does.

Also, please say a prayer or two for my Dad, I would really appreciate it.

I know what you and your FI's family are going through. It is the toughest thing I have have ever EVER gone through. I don't even know where the 1st half of this year went. Walking around in a daze. Sorry if I am having a pity party, but its so hard, and I can relate. But PRAYERS do WONDERS!

Thanks everyone for the support, again. I really appreciate it. FMIL was supposed to come home yesterday from the hospital, but they could not release her yet. Soon, hopefully.

Hi girls. Thanks for your prayers and well wishes. THis is the first time I've really had to sit down at a computer since Monday. FMIL had her surgery Monday, and they removed two thirds of her lung What they found was cancer and I'm not sure where she is going to take it from here. She's in a lot of pain, but luckily, they moved her out of the ICU last night. She told us she does not need chemo, but from what we gathered from a conversation his dad told us about, she does need it and has not come to terms with that yet. So I guess we'll see Thanks again everyone for your thoughts and prayers
