I am so, so sad. I can't stop crying. As most of you know, my Dad was diagnosed last year with Esophageal Cancer. He had surgery in May and now goes every 4 months for checkups. Last night he went for a check up and they said they saw something they are concerned about on his liver. I am so scared. He now needs to go for a sonogram next week to see if it is a tumor..
Please, please say a prayer for my father. He is only 52 and we need him. :(
Also, if there is any one in the medical field, can you tell me what to think? They took blood. Would they be able to tell if it was cancer by his blood work and how long would it take for them to know??

Oh I am so sorry.. How is he doing??
He's surprisingly trying to stay positive, he will start chemo tuesday, he has to stay overnight but they are going to inject it right into his liver. Thank you

I'm sending 's to you and your family. The only definitive dx for cancer is a biopsy which takes a few days to get results. Probably some of the bloodwork they did was an LFT (liver function test) to determine how well his liver is functioning. If those #'s are out of whack it may indicate that there is a problem. Once again 's . I hope everything will be ok!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope that all turns out well for your father. Try and take it easy....I know easier said than done...but try not to get yourself all upset...that will make things worse for him. Stress and being upset is contagious. Try to stay calm for him. Good luck with every thing!
