You can honestly return items on your BB&B registry for cash????????

I need proof!

Someone please tell me that it's true and you did it!

Yes, just make sure that it's on your registry (don't delete it off) otherwise they would have to give you store credit.

Re: Please say it's true...and not rumors!!!!

I did it! It was kind of weird cause I was expecting store credit, and next thing I know I had cash. I used it to buy something else, but I had the coupon, so I still ended up with some $$$!

ETA: First they had to verify it was on my registry - and then I got my cash!

I wasn't told that, I was told that as long it was on my registry, I would get cash back on returns.

Could be that way now, I really don't know...I registered in 2003 and did all my returning in 2004 so maybe things have changed? I just remember that I had a $50 credit there and DH wanted to kill me because I thought I threw it in the garbage (oops!).

Yup. One of my BM's works there and it is true. That's the only reason why I registered for some stuff there!!!

What about if someone buys you something from there that's not on your registry that you don't want. Could I add it to my registry and then return it for cash?

No - because it's not a registry item at time of purchase. But you should be able to get store credit for it.
