I am trying to get an idea on interest rates right now and where I might stand. Can you tell me what rate you got, where you got it from, and how is your credit (if you know the score that would be great). TIA to all who can help! I can see its going to be a long road ahead of me!

We have very good credit, but our student loans KILLED US!! We had to get a higher rate due to the income debt ratio because of those damn loans.
Our rate is about 6.25%
We went through Mortgage Warehouse in Melville. My parents, brother used them before, they were great!

We just closed on a refinance last Friday. When we refinanced we just did it under me because the equity in the house went up so much since we bought 2 1/2 years ago and I have really good credit.
DH has excellent credit too, but he owns his own business and the paper work would have been insane.
He has a great deal, I have all the debt and he owns half the house because he is on the deed.
Anyway our rate is 5.75 for a 30 yr fixed mortgage. We went through Suffolk County National Bank.

We're at 4.75% but had refinanced last year. Before that it was 5.25%. Both our credit's REALLY good (don't remember the score but it was in the high 700's)
It was through HSBC
PS- it's a 30 yr fixed.

We have a 7/1 adjustable (fixed for 7 yrs. then goes to adjustable) through Citi at 4.5%. We could have done a 30yr fixed at 5%, but we bought a one bedroom co-op and are not going to be here for more then 7 yrs.

our pre-qual rates seem high compared to what others have mentioned. we have yet to shop around but were told that we are in the position to get the 'best rates' based on our credit scores.
5.1 for a 5 year ARM, 5.9 for fixed
it could be that we are getting these rates based on a down payment less than 20% or we are asking for too much...hmmm...don't know...

Our credit is excellent, but we had to do a stated income loan (meaning we told them what we were making and they took that info with no documentation to back it up).
We HAD to do that because I'm part owner of a primarily cash business. Its our first year in business so I have no tax returns or pay stubs to provide.
That adds to the interest rate about a half a point. We locked in Aug and closed in Sept at 5.875% (thats a 10 year fixed, 20% down)
Loan rates will GREATLY vary depending on the type of loan and probably the downpayment as well. 30 yr will be highest, interest only and ARMS will be less...

We refinanced last year with Chase Mortgage. We got a rate of 5.15%. We also went from a 30 year to a 20 year mortgage. We have excellent credit - high 700's, low 800's. We have absolutely no debt either (well, except our mortgage!).

For pre-qual (this month) we were quoted 5% for a 30 year fixed, no points. We have excellent credit and no debt. We were originally quoted 4.875 but rates went up recently.

I believe its 4.75 from HSBC for a 5 year arm...we are going to sell in about 4 years so it worked for us. We also have great credit and zero debt.

I am almost positive we are at the same rate through the same lender but we are in Colorado.
