Espeically ones that have a lot of flowers. I'm thinking of something that just kind of looks like a mass of flowers in the middle of the table......container does not necessarily have to be showing.
I love candles! I want to use tea lights in my c-piece, but since my reception is in the middle of the day it doesn't really seem practical.....
These are all really nice! I wish I had a picture of one I saw once, it really did look like the flowers were arranged right on the table....you couldn't see the holder.

Here's one that's kind of different.... I think it's adorable!
I was talking to my banquet manager about tea lights and he said that they are pretty but not pratical at all. They burn out very quickly and sometimes they dont last more then 5 minutes. Everyone coming in, a small breeze, someone reaching over the table, they just dont last very long. He said they are pretty but not exactly the best thing for a centerpiece.
Just a thought that came from my banquet manager when I asked him about tea lights.

Here is my sample. My actual piece will be a bit fuller. There will be more ivy in it and some deeper shades of burgundy added. Some flowers were not available at the time I went.
Karen, that is exactly tthe kind of centerpiece I am looking for!

My wedding is in the middle of the day also and I'm using candles anyway, it's what I want. Besides...for people to take them home...it's better...flowers c-pieces will die eventually.
