Re: please show me your cake toppers
Didn't I just post this? Well, for one thing we have a vintage 1930 pearlized bisque bride and groom I won on eBay. I don't have a picture of it, sorry, but it's very cute, a bride in one of those slinky Thirties dresses, and a groom in a tail coat, holding a top hat. That's not going on the cake, but on the table. We're having two cakes--a cheesecake my mom's making, and a Giants -decorated grooms cake. We're also having a big tower of cupcakes. So there will be toppers on the tables. On the cheesecake will be the lovebirds in the cage, it's a Wilton topper called 'The Song of Love.' It's very silly but adorable. Not that we think of marriage as a cage, exactly. OTOH, it may keep us in, but a cage also keeps others out. As long as I'm in there with my FH, I'm happy! I'm also going to get a pair of Superman and Wonder Woman figures for which I'm going to make a little bow tie and veil Will be funny. And I just thought the other little birds were cute so they'll go on the table too. Or maybe on the guest book table, that's an idea...
