I think that is very cool, I went to a wedding once that had them, I thought it was different. And since my FH is a cop he want them too, I don't know what they cost but I think that it may be worth it.

I don't care for them, but I am also not Irish. I guess it's the italian in me or something.

My girlfriend had it at her wedding and it was nice. I am amazed at all of the multi-tasking they do.

Good Luck!

My cousin is playing the bagpipes at my wedding! I am Irish and thouht this would be a enat way to tie in my heritage to the ceremony. although they are typically used at funerals, they are several tunes that are 'happier' and I will have my cousin play those. he will play as people enter the church...about 10 minutes before and as people leave the church....

If it has some significance to you, like your heritage, then I like the idea of it.

We went to a wedding at Westbury Manor 2 weeks ago. They had about 6 pipers come in during the reception. No one had any idea that this was going to happen as the bride suprised her groom who is an NYC police officer. It was AMAZING!!! Everyone was so impressed. They played 3 or 4 songs. They formed a circle and had the bride and groom slow dance in the middle. It was really, really great. I am sure she got a good price because they were NYPD Pipers. I thought it was a really nice touch.

My cousin had a bagpiper at his wedding...at the reception - I think during cocktail hour (we were in the bridal suite - so I'm not sure), and when we were all announced into the reception. He also had his dad and my dad wearing kilts...looked great!
