please tell me if this is completely rude or i am overreacting

I get home from vacation last week to a huge pile of mail....

one of the evvelopes was my FBIL wedding invite...they are getting married at Leonard's on 9/29

well it is addressed to
Mr. Steven L( last name) & Kim

thats it no ms. no last name of mine not even my full name!!

i think she did it on spite b/c we really dont see eye to eye

i am overreacting?

i mean seriously arent wedding invites supposed to be formal! she knows my last name!

I find that very strange especially since she knows your last name. It was rude, youre not overreacting.

eh. I wouldn't worry about it. When I got an invite to my cousins wedding not too long ago the envelope said Ms. Christine Blank & Guest, even though FH and I are engaged, live in the same house and my cousin and FH know each other. I didn't take offense to it because little things like that don't really matter to me. Honestly, I (and I think all of us) have more important and pressing things to stress about. If you wern't invited at all then, I'd get pissed.

But that's only IMO.

my friend's other half (wife now) did 'and guest' for me ... cause my friend knows both my FH and me ... so I sorta know how u feel ....

I don't think you are overreacting at all. That is rude, especially if she knows your last name. Do you think there is any cahnce she couldn't think of your last name and left it blank until she could remember and then sent it out on accident?

i had an invite addressed that way and i was fine with it! I dont know if she forgot his last name or didnt know how to spell it., But i didnt see the big deal. I addresses a few of my E-party invites that way. Didnt bother me at all.....but that stuff usually doesnt!

its not that ...i am going to be family with her ...i have been with my FH for 8 years ...she doesnt lie me and i feel that she is trying to get little digs in

that is pretty wierd maybe I'm wrong, but I think that was definitely done on purpose....or maybe she could've been tired?

i wouldnt stress it, i had an invitation sent to my FH and just my first name and i didnt think twice about it.

i ONLY got my last name on invitations in the past few years ( we have been together 9.5 years)

i cant tell you how many invitations i got with 'and Matilde' dont let it bother you

actually i WISH it said Matilde it usually said Matilda!!!

i dont think you should be really angry...but you can ask her, do you know my last name?

FH's friend invited us with Him and me...but they didnt put my last name...they didnt want to spell it wrong.

So i would say dont sweat it...it was probably a minor thing...
