It is my mom's friend and very cheap so I will probably use her.

I will have her use a thicker point calligraphy pen.

Thoughts? My feeling will not be hurt....

Much better than the first one you posted, especially if it is a good price, I would go for it

How much is computer calligraphy? I got a few quotes and it was pretty pricey.

Bottom line is I do not want to spend alot on this...its an envelope and gets thrown out and this wedding is already costing an arm and a leg!!!!!!!!!!!

Or please tell me who you are using and how much they are. (Michelle clark is too booked, i emailed her in Jan. And Wendy Trout said she would do it but she has not answered my emails in 3 weeks! Arghhh!)

i agree x 100000, even if you do it on your own computer in a nice script. just because someone calls it calligraphy doesn't mean it looks like nice calligraphy. then again, i am very picky.

I agree.. I'd print it myself. I did that for my STD's, and for one of my BM's invites and they turned out great

Would have done it for my invites too if the company didn't offer addressed envelopes...

Here is wendys work, and she does a couple different styles for calligraphy for you to choose from

I blacked out the address bc another LIW'er sent me this pic but didnt want to post the address of one of her guests so here it is without the address, but you can still see her work

I am not a big fan of the work done, for what people pay, i think one wants it perfect. We were doing calligraphy and saw a few samples from various people and were not impressed. Some of them actually looked like they were just starting.
I am very very picky so, FH suggested that we have our invite people (emerson avenue graphics...they are awesome) do it on the computer. It looks amazing, perfect in every way. I line uniformity (is that even a word, i make up things at this hour).
And we have not decided what we are going to do for the inside envelope, but probably have it printed to kept the continuity.
Good luck though!

I was thinking about this. I know someone who charges $1 per invite, is this cheap? I am not sure about how to price calligraphers, but she is pretty good at it. My friends have all used her, but now I am considering the computer option.

Please tell me what you think.
