Please tell me if you like this calligraphy

Original post by Jenn04

It is my mom's friend and very cheap so I will probably use her.

I will have her use a thicker point calligraphy pen.

Thoughts? My feeling will not be hurt....

Thanks for the help girls! Again my feelings were not hurt at all.

I thought about this all weekend and decided I do not want to go cheap! I just would rather spend the money and have it done right!!!!

On that note I am going to try Wendy Trout again and send them out to her asap!

I am not a big fan of the work done, for what people pay, i think one wants it perfect. We were doing calligraphy and saw a few samples from various people and were not impressed. Some of them actually looked like they were just starting.
I am very very picky so, FH suggested that we have our invite people (emerson avenue graphics...they are awesome) do it on the computer. It looks amazing, perfect in every way. I line uniformity (is that even a word, i make up things at this hour).
And we have not decided what we are going to do for the inside envelope, but probably have it printed to kept the continuity.
Good luck though!

i agree totally. i love beautiful hand calligraphy but i think that a lot of people just buy a calligraphy book and a pen and then start charging $1-2 an invite, even if it looks like a 12 year old did it.

i decided it wasn't worth the stress about worrying about things looking perfect and had my invite company address ours as well, in the same script as our invites. it looks great and we actually got a really good deal on it. we arent using inside envelopes.

Here is wendys work, and she does a couple different styles for calligraphy for you to choose from

I blacked out the address bc another LIW'er sent me this pic but didnt want to post the address of one of her guests so here it is without the address, but you can still see her work

i think you should look into her

good for you!!! You should always be happy with YOUR WEDDING things. The way to look at it is youre paying money for them to be done anyway, so you should just get them done the way you like it!

Honestly .... I think you're better off with computerized calligraphy than the ones you've been posting.

I agree...I think the computerized looks very clean and you don't have to worry about human errors. I think this is nice if you decide to go with it but I personally would do the computerized instead. JMO

Good luck

I agree....not fan of any of them...(please don't be offended)

ETA: I was going to suggest Michele Clark...but I see you say she's booked...

I'm sorry but I have to agree with them too... I'm not a fan of either of them. There is something that just doesn't look right but I can't put my finger on it.
