Mmmm... it's pretty, but not really princessy IMO. If it was a little more elaborate, like had a bow around the waist and some more detail on the dress.... but I love the color!

Not a bow around the waist - I meant a ribbon tied into a bow in the back. You know....

i agree

really? too mature? i was thinking it was too kiddy-ish for my 5, 7 and 9 year olds.

I don't think it's mature at all....I wouldn't put a dress like that on anyone over 12 years old. Girlish yes, princess, not so much.

It's definitely for a child and the ages are good for that

I agree .. its definitely not mature, its VERY girly.. but not exactly 'princessy' ..

I think maybe it just needs something, like someone else said a sash with a bow in the back perhaps? Just a little something extra, hard to pinpoint what or how to define 'princessy...'

Often when I think princessy I think of very poufy, very layered skirts... that organza look, etc.. I could be entirely wrong, tho

I hear ya!

Then I say the heck with everyone and just go with the dress you want!! I love the color for sure .. and once your girls are all dressed up, with their flowers or baskets (not to mention if they have anything in their hair, flowers, wreaths, etc) .. Well what little girl would NOT feel like a princess , right?

It won't be in this color...It will be lighter (My BM's are actually wearing that color!) and yes, I plan on having the little ones wear a crown of flowers on their heads!

i think this is princessy.
the flower crowns will help. I think the fabric looks substantial, which is princessy, long witht he puffy sleeves. toule is more ballerina to me,less princessy.

Maybe you could add a ribbon ( in white if you can't matchthe clors)around the waist on your won or pin artifical flowers to the front at the waist band.

I dont like the sleeves...what color? Because the color stands out really nice, just looks too old school in the sleeves to me...maybe if they lay more flat on the arm
