Hi girls! I want to go with a much 'different' centerpiece for my wedding and would like to get your honest thoughts and opinions (no feelings hurt here.)

This centerpiece is very modern and cost effective and FH and I both love it but I am worried that it will give the room a very flat look.

Anyway it is going to be a tall cylindar vase with white cymbidian orchids over a monstera leave. (Second picture is not a monstera leaf...but will just give an idea of how the finished product will look!)

ALso....these flowers do not match my flowers or my BM flowers but I dont care!

I said it oh the BHB board but i loooooove it! Ilooooooove orchids and it screams class and elegance and im sure no one has seen it before!

I voted no ONLY b/c I feel like it will be in the way and ppl won't be able to talk b/c it seems thick and somewhat obstructive.

Yeah...we have never seen it before at wedding. Actually I forgot to mention that the vase will be filled to the top with water.

Ok so we decided that it wont have a wow factor when you walk into the room...but it will be a wow factor when you sit down. Anyway, I am just scared it may look flat and considered doing some high cp too but its just too $$$.

I LOVE IT. Flower MIchele does that as well but they do another one with water in it. I LOVE IT>

i say go for it! very different and gorgeous. how big & how high is the ceiling in the RH? i don't think it will give a flat look if your reception is roomy

It looks very elegant but just be careful not to block the view of guests as they talk to each other. That can be annoying. I've been to weddings where th eguests actually took down the centerpieces because it was such an obstruction of view.

I LOVE that way it looks!!! I had a friend use those CPs in groups of threes a few years back an it was stunning.
Just one thing... she thought they would be filled to the top, but the florist (Flower Michelle I THINK) only put about 2 inches of water in the bottom and said the orchid would float up if it was filled.
