I would pick #1. I like the color of the sunset - it adds a warm, romatic feel.

Although I'm in the minority, I'd say hands down, #2. I don't think you should have it lightened either - that sky is sooo dramatic - I think it's a beautiful shot.

But, whatever you decide...you can't go wrong. Both shots are great.

This is a tough one!! I love the colors of the sunset photo. But #2 is so dramatic and I love how you are both looking at each other.

I personally like #2, but just a thought... The thank-you photos are usually pretty small photos, and if you have to shrink the picture down, you will barely be seen. You might want to pick a larger picture, where you are closer to the forefront so that your faces, etc. can be seen. I love the romantic nature of these photos, believe me, but I'm just thinking about how it will translate to a thank-you photo size photo. Good luck!
