Pleeze help! Have to Ask this...

Okay, I am standing here with a friend and we are having a debate about this. Had to ask you gals.... Can you manipulate your monthly friend to come six days before your wedding? I know you can skip it entirely that month by just taking the active pill pack back to back, but my friend says that you will still get the cramping, moodiness and bloating (UGH!!!).... Is it better to get it then just a week before your wedding?

No I did not get any of the symptons when I skipped.

I would talk to your doctor and try to skip a week a few months before -- so you deal with all the side effects way in advance and are back on the regular cycle at wedding time.

I don't get any symptoms when I skip (though usually I just push it back a week, not skip the whole month).

Do it in advance of your wedding, in case you have side effects.

I totally skipped my friend by taking the patch consecutively and not having a week off. I feel fine. I didn't have it for my wedding and looks like the honeymoon will be free and clear too!

My cousin says that if you are on the pill, and you want to manipulate it, you can just delay taking it - instead of starting on the day you are supposed to - start a week later and do this for a couple of months until everything lines up.

okay i have a question, and i didn't feel like starting a new topic so i hope someone sees it in here. i heard that in order to skip it you don't take the placebos and just start a new pack. my question is if the hormone pills end on friday but you usually start a new pack on sunday do you start on sat. if you're skipping the placebos? or do you do nothing for a day and start the new pack on sunday? i hope that made sense.

reallybehind - its different for different pills - but all the pills I've been on, I've always done a sunday start and they always end on Saturday - so there was never any skipping of a day.

Okay, so usually I'm clueless but I think I can help with this one. I think you take the new active pills the day after your last active pills. You wouldn't want to skip a day in between. So if it ends friday, take the active saturday. Because two days of placebos which are basically nothing will bring on your period.
