tip your florist 15% gratuity??? I understand tipping the delivery person but I've never heard of gratuity on top of the florist charges. Please help - has anyone ever heard of this? Could this be fair, they are already charging for the flowers and set-up.

huh.... i didn't tip my florist. i tipped the delivery person.
was i wrong? i'd go back and give her a tip now if i was wrong not to tip her. mind you, she works out of her home so she is the owner.

My total cost for flowers was about $600. I tipped the delivery person $20 and my florist $50. She was the one that went to the hall and arranged the flowers and decorated the ceremony so I wanted to give her a tip.

there is no need for gratuity aside from tipping the delivery worker, there may be set up fees(for hall centerpieces though)

I now work in this industry and we don't charge gratuity. I also haven't seen a tip yet in the 4 months I've been here (and the 8 weddings I've done).
We do sometimes charge set up fees depending on the distance or whats involved to set up.

i was told by many people I asked to only tip delivery guy.
