Plus Size Bridal Stores?

Hi!

I need help!! I am plus size, and was wondering if anyone knew of some good stores on LI that had actual plus size dresses to try on?

Hi!
I got to try on a lot of dresses at the following places:
Helens of Commack
Fantasia Bridal of Rocky Point
Paradise Bridal in Patchogue (This is where I wound up buying my dress)
The Wedding Center of Commack
David's Bridal

Most places have plus size samples, but not as many as they do of the regular sample sizes. If you are unsure, just call ahead and ask. I found that I was able to try on a lot more than I expected.

I had an amazing experience with Cyndi at Davids Bridal in Westbury.. She was so attentive and I tried on sooo many dresses!! I do reccomend going early afternoon on a weekday though.. You really do get one on one attention when the store is not so crowded.

I highly recommend Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point. They're FANTASTIC!!!! I got my dress & my bridesmaids dresses there. I was a plus size bride. Good Luck to you.

I had major issues trying on gowns because I am a 14/16 and half of the dresses were a 10. I had the BEST experience at Lestan Bridal in Brooklyn (http://www.lestanbridals.com/). The lady was so patient, I actually went twice. All of the samples were plus size. It was worth the drive. I ended up ordering from Helen's in Commack because it was much closer and the ladies that work there are SO sweet.

I tried dresses on at Centereach bridal, Paradise bridal in Patchogue, David's bridal and Fantasia bridal in Rocky Point. My only piece of advice is to absolutely positively 1000% do NOT buy your dress at Paradise!!!!! I can't even begin to list the issues I had as well as over-hearing other customers issues everytime I was there. Google reviews or search reviews on here about them and I'm sure that will convince you. Lets just say that after all was said and done, my dress came in 3 weeks before my wedding and they saw nothing wrong with it.

I got my dress at Paradise Bridal and everything was fine. My dress was beautiful and the alterations were done really well (I lost 30lbs and it had to be taken in two sizes).

Be sure to call bridal reflections first. I called the one in Carle place and they don't carry plus sizes in the store to try on. You can also try Bridal World in Baldwin. I tried several there. I got my dress from the Bridal Suite in Huntington.

They had a lot of 14s which is what I mainly tried on (street size I am a 16/18).. But they do a great job of getting you into the dress and they aren't afraid to rip the inseam or anything to get you in which I though was awesome lol

I tried on about 10 plus size dresses at Bridal Suite in Centereach. I ended up buying from them and from the beginning to the end, I was very happy with them. They did a great job :)
