Plus Size Bride

Ok I have been seeing all these great dresses (making me giddy at going to get my dress).
Any plus size brides have any advice on where to go besides David's Bridal (dont' really want to go there since my friend had a bad experience with her wedding dress)?

I'm also on a tight budget..lol I really don't want to spend over $800.00 on a dress.

Alfred Angelo has beautiful plus size brides. You can do a search on their site for store locators.

You can get plus sizes in almost any gown, sometimes they charge you a little more but if you love the dress it's worth it. (Mori Lee doesn't, I know because that's who makes mine!) Do you have a style in mind? Maybe we can help you out?

i hate davids too.. but just to see different styles so that you know what you like.. it might be helpful also..most bridal stores will carry some samples in a size 20...

wow thanks for the help.. just what I was looking for.. something that won't show off my arms...lol
Seriously I was getting a bit worried when all I saw were strapless gowns... I love them but I know I won't look good in them.

I went to RK bridal in the city to try on dresses. DO NOT GO ON THE WEEKEND!!!! I went on a Sunday and then the next day...Monday was so much better.

oh us hippy women..i was shocked at the size of my dress..it is like 4 sizes different then what i am..i friggin cant stand it

try the bridal suite in centereach im sure they have some ask for barbara she was wonderful. im not a plus size bride but my dress is a size 18 it cost extra cause they had to order a size it didnt come in. so im sure they can help you foind somethin

Thanks I'd appreciate the list.. not easy as I normally wear a size 22 or 24 depending on the cut of the clothing.

I am a plus size also they ordered me an 18 @ the same bridal suite and I worked with Mary and Beverly they were great

Paradise Bridal in Patchogue is really good also. I went in and showed Paulina a bunch of dresses I liked, and she picked out a few on her own that she thoughrt would look good on me and that I would like. P.S. Hated the ones I picked out....fell in love with 2 that she picked out both just under $800

My aunt got her dress in nassau i think that carries dresses esp in the 18+ samples....is that what your looking for? IS that too far? If not im gonna call her and get the name!
