I just purchased my dress (an Alfred Angelo) from Lynbrook Bridal Center. They have a nice selection of plus dresses to try on and the woman who helped me (Eileen) was wonderful!

Macy's actually has plus size gowns to try on. You can check there. And they have reasonable prices.
