Plus size bridesmaid dresses
Hey maybe this group can help me. It is almost time to look around for dresses for my seven bridesmaids that range in sizes from 5 to 35.I refuse to make the larger size bridesmaids pay double for their dresses because of added materials. Do any of you brides to be know of any dress manufacturers that make up to size 35? Just curious. Elisa

Unfortunately any of your bridesmaids over a size 14 will have to pay extra for their dress size. Although it is never double the price, it is about $50-75 more. Even if the manufacturer makes large sizes, they will have to pay extra. A word of advice, when you go looking for bridesmaid dresses, make sure that on the tag it says that large sizes are available. That will save you a lot of time. Also, take the bridesmaid that will be the most difficult to fit, when you go looking. If you find a dress that looks good on her, it will look good on all of them.

I never heard of a size 35, but there are some stores that carry larger size dresses that can be tried on. The worst thing in the world for a larger person is to walk into a store that has only size 10 dresses to try on. Trust me I know!!! Call around and see who has them before you go. You will save your full figured bridesmaids a lot of embarassment that way.

Plus size bridesmaid dresses
I have a bridesmaid who is unfortunately larger than a size 35 -- I won't say how much larger but it is quite a bit...Unfortunately we ran into a problem that most designers actually stop their lines at a certain size. After that point, if you are up to 6 inches largerer (chest measurement) than the largest size measurement, you can add a panel. Bigger than that (my dilemma), they have to make the dress from scratch by ordering all the material, buttons, zippers, lining, etc. Suffice to say, my unfortunate bridesmaid is now paying more than double what the other girls are for a custom made dress which breaks my heart. The other girls larger than size 14 also had to pay between $20 - $50 more for the larger sizes which I think is disgusting. Anyway, I'm having all this done at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, who have been very nice about the whole thing, but it is embarassing and I think a travesty. Good Luck in your search...

my sister had that problem for her wedding She had a bridesmaid size 26 she ended up finding a place in Astoria that made the dress for $30.00 more then the rest of the girls. You couldn't tell the diff. The best style to use is a princess cut. It flatters skinny girls and compliments heavier onesWelcome New Vendors
