Plus Size Bridesmaids

What are your plus size bridesmaids wearing? Do they want to cover up arms? Styles that flatter?

I picked the Designer (Alfred Angelo) and the colour (Navy) and I'm letting my girls pick whatever they want.

So far three of them like the same dress, one is preggo, one hasn't tried any on yet and the last one (ps) is probably going to go with separates - and cover her arms.

I'm PS too and for my cousin's wedding she also gave us three color choices and let us pick what we wanted - I of course grabbed a bolero jacket!

I just want to add that it annoys me that they don't carry samples in PS - they just measure you, order the dress and you have to keep your fingers crossed that it fits/looks good.

For my cousin's wedding she went with Davids Bridal so at least I got to try on the dresses. But for my wedding, they didn't have anything me or my girls liked

The whole BM trying on dresses is a bigger girl's nightmare. I as a size 10 when I was in my friend's wedding - which isn't even all that plus sized... especially compared to me now (size 14) and I felt so uncomfortable and upset while trying on BM dresses, especially since I went with her two size 0 and size 2 relatives! Ugh.

I feel your pain. I also feel the same way about Bridesmaid dresses. I am sure all of my bridesmaids would love to be a size 3 :)

i have six girls in my party, each one has a diff. shape none the less one is currently prego... so i am not picky about these things and i would hate for someone to pick out something for me to wear, so i chose a color and vendor and they can pick there own dress as long as it's choc. brown.
I also hate everything like that uniform & i have my taste and they have theirs, just nothing *****ty!

A good place to go to is David's Bridal. Their BM dresses are in all colors, styles and sizes...up to size 28, if I am not mistaken. My mom and I went there to try on dresses, just to get an idea of what style dress would look best on us. Than, once the bride chooses a designer and color, you will know what style dress looks better on you and it will be easier for you to pick one out. At least it helped me a little....I am big in the, uh, chest area, so strapless is so not the way to go for me...halter works best.

they are all wearing bill levkoff's 966, which comes with a shawl. my sister (size 26) wanted a cropped jacket for her arms. i told them whatever they are comfy with

I agree- Being PS really s**** sometimes since you have to 'imagine' how you will look in a dress before you even order it and to top it off pay an extra 30-40 bucks!!! I am in FH cousins wedding in a month and I had to 'imagine' how horrible I am going to look in this dress!! Something about a cream color sash around my not so cinched in waist is really making me uneasy!
talk about accentuating the negative!!
