Plus- Sized Bridesmaid Dresses

I am looking for some places to try on plus size bridesmaid dresses. I made an appointment at David's Bridal but am having a problem finding other salons who have plus size dresses to try on. Most of the places can order dresses in any size but I want my bridesmaid to know she'll feel comfortable in the dress and not have to try it on in an 8 and hope it'll look good on her once it is ordered. Any suggestions?

unfortunately... one of my BM is plus sized and she sort of had to guess which dress would look best on her!!! it was such a terrible experience!! Shes only a size 16/18 ... but the dresses are so tiny.

This was the main reason i let each girl choose thier own dress... as long as it was the same color and material! HTH

unfortunately most places do not have many plus size dresses to try on. I am not certain how large of a size you need, but the wedding center of commack had the largest selection that I had seen. RK bridal had a few too

I couldn't find any places. It really stinks!!

I think I called a place in Bellmore -- I think it was Lilettes -- to see if they carried any in the designer we wanted but they didn't have the dresses we wanted. They were really nice on the phone though so you may want to ask.

I would definitely recommend David Bridal even if you don't end up ordering from there they carry a wide range of sizes and style so at least they can get an idea of what type of dress looks good if they cant try on a sample somewhere else. Plus David'd bridal does not charge an extra fee for the dress being plus size like most bridal salons
