Plus sized problem....

I am a plus sized bride and I am having the worst time finding white pantyhose. I've surfed the net and visited several stores in my area to no avail.... I've found plenty of places that sell nude and ivory stockings... but I really need white! Thigh highs are out of the question, because my hips and thighs are where I carry the most of my weight - and I want to be comfortable that day. The wedding is 15 days from now... Anyone else having the same problem? Any suggestions as to where else I may try looking? I'm really getting a plus sized headache over this

Have you tried Lane Bryant? I usually get my pantyhose from there, but I've never noticed if they have white.

I've tried one Lane Bryant store, but they didn't have white in stock only off white (and my gown is bright white) -- I have to try and find another location. I should have stuck with my first instict and bought my pantyhose during the summer months, but when I went for my corset, the saleswoman told me to hold off on purchasing the pantyhose until the last minute because the material has a tendency to dry out which makes them easier to rip....

Not sure what your skin tone is, but for me, I am planning on getting slightly off white stockings because white-white stockings make my legs look blue (I know...wierd...but it becasue of my pale Irish skin). I also have a white dress, but like I said, depending on your skin, off white may work.

Just my opinion but I think nude stockings are much more attractive than white with a wedding gown.

Thanks Stef. I thought so at first myself, but I wasn't sure, so I asked around my office and the general concensus was to 'stick with white'. Any one else want to voice their opinion?

White reminds me of a nurse with those white sneaker-shoes!

Didn't say it in my original post because you specified white, but I agree, nude looks much better, and they would be much easier to find.

I would say nude also, but you might want to check www.justmysize.com they might have white if you have your heart set on that.

I sorta had that problem as well but because I'm so darn tall.
I found them just yesterday at the AVENUE in Hicksville. They have WHITE.
8 bucks.

I have that problem too. Try Lane Bryant I HAVE ACATALOG AT HOME AND THEY HAVE WHITE ONES.

If you really want white, I would check Lane Bryant online or a major dept. store like maybe saks or Nordstrom. But, for what my 2 cents are worth - I think nude is the way to go. But that's just my opinion.

Sweetestangel, Macy's has Berkshire pantyhose, they make plenty of plus sizes, and I know they have white.

There is a corset shop in Oceanside on Long Island Beach Road. They might have them for you. I am a plus size too and I found white stockings (I needed them for my best friend's wedding) in a corset shop.
