Plus Sized Wedding Dresses

Good Morning!
Can anyone recommend a good salon with plus sized wedding dresses that are available to try on before ordering? I am currently a size 20 and am terrified to go wedding dress shopping because I'm afraid I will have a horrible experience and not want to go back!

I live in Eastern Nassau. Any help would be much appreciated.

I bought my dress at RK Bridal and am a size 16. I was able to get into most of the standard dresses (they didnt zip) but I was able to get a good idea.
They also have a whole rack called the diva collection with a large amount of plus size dresses.

I ordered mine from Paradise Bridal in Patchogue. They had alot to choose from.

I seriously call these places and ask them how many because I won't waste my gas (@ 4.05 a gallon!) driving all over long island for 1 or 2 dresses. They're usually very helpful on the phone. Places I've found worth going to:

Bridal Suite of Centereach - They probably had the most! They had a little room of them; Mary was GREAT to work with too.

Macy's Lake Grove - probably about a dozen or so.. maybe a little more.

Elegence Bridal had like 6 or 7 but I only liked 2 so it's definitely about what you're looking for.

Fantasia emailed me their list of gowns they have in 16 and up so if you want I can forward that to you.. they had a lot but I just didn't like anything they had (again, totally personal preference)They were so nice on the phone though and I thought that them emailing me was a nice jesture!

Princess Bridal in Farmingdale had a lot but not what I was looking for and I felt like they were just trying so hard to make a sale by telling me they would lower their prices and sharpen their pencils to get the very best price. Too desperate if you ask me.

Helen's in Commack only had 5-6 but I actually love two they had so I'll be choosing between them now.

Paradise seemed to have some but they cut their tags out of their dresses which is definitely annoying.

Wedding Center of Commack - I just quickly browsed through because I was in their with FSIL for something with her wedding. They seemed to have like a dozen or so, maybe a few more than that.

Places I haven't gone but called:
Village Bridals; They said they had 'a few' but they were primarily Venus Bridals
Burton's; They said they didn't really have many, maybe a feww.
Lillettes; They said they only had 3 or 4.
Bridal Suite of Bay Shore just said they got a whole new collection but I haven't been there and I wasn't planning on going there.

This is great for everyone looking for plus size dresses! Just an FYI....I went to bridal suite in bay shore and they hardly had any, the ones they did have we're frumpy looking, and it was literally 2! Maybe I just had the wrong salesgirl helping.....

Yes; I had looked in there while looking at BM dresses for my FSIL's wedding and there was like 5 and I wasn't impressed. My mom called them last week and they said they just got a whole new collection in so I'm not sure how many they have now or if it's basically the same selection.
