My FH doesn't wanna stay in a hotel the night of our wedding W T F !!!!!!!!!!!!! he has saved the best comment for last...
he wants to go home as a family ( we have a 17 month old) Is he *ucking retarded???
I am super insulted by this am I wrong to be??
He has not made one decision this entire planning process until what one month before he wants to start making decisions??

neither does mine, but because we live together and he thinks it's not worth it. we have our entire HM to spend time in a hotel.

Why doesn't he???? Even if you do live together i would say go and make it a special night. My friend went back to her place and it didn't seem special it seemed like the bed they sleep in all the time with the clutter they faced before the wedding since they were so busy....try to convince him i don't think he'll regret it.

Ironically, I was the one who felt it was a waste of money but then the lightbulb went off. If I go home to where we live and sleep all the time, it will seem like the wedding is really over. If we stay in a hotel, it is more special, and it will seem like the wedding is lasting longer. Maybe a little far fetched, but it worked in my mind b/c we are going to stay at a hotel, hopefully that our OOT guests are at so we can have breakfast with them in the morning.

My FH didn't want to either he said it was a waste of money but I am staying there the night before and getting ready there so I don't want to check out early that day so we booked it for both nights otherwise we would be staying at our house!

I agree...remind him how hectic yo uguys are going to be before the wedding and how nice it will be to stay in a nice and clean room the night of your wedding...like starting your honeymoon early!

that is where i would put my foot down, you parents can take the baby home, you both need your night, the wedding night!! put it to him that way, that you've waited for this day and you want the night to be just as special!! my parents are taking my daughter and his parents are taking his daughter back to our house! i even asked the hotel for late check-out.....i dont want to have a time that i have to get up!!

My guess is he doesn't think its that big of a deal to you, but from what you are telling us it truly is. Make sure he knows how strongly you feel about it and see if he'll change his mind! IMO going home that night would be a let down, I'd like that special wedding day feeling to last as long as possible.

Honestly...they do say and do some really strange things where the wedding is concerned...
honestly...what i think he wants to do is sweet...first night as husband and wife with the family...where better to spend it at home as a family..IMO its romantic...He means well...hes not thinking at the moment that hes going to be exhausted and ull be tired and youll want time alone.....but he means well and has good intentions!
