Sorry but I am in the same situation but reverse. I have a soon to be 6 year old. I want to come home and spend our first night as a family since we are leaving him two days later to go away for 7 nights.

i love love love my daughter more then anything in the world but she is 18 months old if she was a little older like your son I might understnad it because he is self sufficient

Your husband will hopefully treat you like a princess everyday. Don't get too upset about it. It's sweet that he wants to spend it as a family. It's not like he used the excuse that he doesn't want to pay for a hotel. You will have your honeymoon to relax and not change ANY diapers. Cheer up.
