Im so super duper excited we are going to be staying in Fernwood Hotel & resort in the Poconos for two days after the wedding then taking our big honeymoon end of 2009 or in 2010.. ...

We are leaving to PA the same night of the wedding now i need something cute to change into

OMG! I just posted about that place to someone who was asking for recomeendations! ha ha ha! I've been there sooo many times! I love it there. if you have any questions about the place... just ask me.. seriously I've been there at least 7 or 8 times!

Really thanks !! FH and his paintball buddies have stayed up there..he told me theres a pond,golf course, just really romantic. I'm so excited

Yea there's a pond... i went on one of those pedal boat things where you have to pedal all around. I think some of the skii mountains might have some stuff going on in October.. so even if it isn't ski season you might want to check that out. they also have horseback riding.

the villas are very nice and clean! there are actually 2 different villas places associated with the same hotel, its treetop and fernwood. but they are just about the same with slight differences. all the villas look pretty much the same. the 1 bedroom will be 2 floors. and the 2 bedroom is 3 floors. Oh there's a pool there.. and indoor pool and tennis courts. Hmm Im trying to think of what else.

Oh.. and I might be confused with another place.. but we had a hard time finding where to buy beer... turns out they sell it in the diner! strange i know. I might have this confused with another ski type vacation place.. but im pretty sure its this place. ha ha! So if your looking for beer go to the diner.. you can buy cases and 6 packs and stuff there.

what really cute about it.. is that you can return for your anniversary! so you can keep going back to the same place where you had your hm! sooo cute! i wish i could do that!

it's a nice place! you will like it! esepcially if you only stayed in hotel rooms.. it's such a differnce.. it will make you never want to stay in another hotel room again! villas all the way! ha ha!

Ohhh great thanks for all the info.....we'll probably bring some liquor bottles, champagne and wine from here lol because we'll probably want to drink as soon as we get there .. We are staying for two days so we'll probably take a swim, stay in the whirlpool in the villa itself and see what type of mischief we can get ourselves into ..Our main honeymoon will probably be a cruise also super exciting..

I just know its by a paintball field called Skirmish lol.

ha ha.. we never did paintball! always kinda wanted to try that. actually when we went it was always with a group of people and we drank and went for the winter sports! I like to try and snowboard even though i suck at it big time! and the snow tubing place they have is sooooo awesome! it's just snowtubing but they have a HUGE bon fire at the bottom... it's nice. but i dont think they will have that up in october. the only time i went during a non winter season was september. it was kinda hot during the day and cold at night. that's when we did the pedal boat on the lake. im sure theres a lot to do up there.. its the poconos and it's a pretty popular area. so cute!

The pedal boats sound like fun but i cant swim so im scared to death of small boats and rafts ...if there was snow i would do the bunny trails( i think that's what they are called).

Ha ha ha! yes that is what they are called. bunny trails.. but they are like the small bumps by where they do the Ski School stuff. ha ha!

Its not too big of a lake and i dont think its that deep. I cant swim either! and i fell in a river once! a mad heard me screaming for help and had to pull me out! ha ha ha! so embarrasing! i was a little drunk at the time too.

Im a real big chicken so i would the bunny trails definitely but skiing, swimming, rock climbing...hell no!! ...Well one time i was in one of those small boats in Central Park and i totally freaked and started screaming in the middle of the lake that i wanted to get off and i felt like i was going to fall off the boat so i sat on the floor it was embarrassing, scary as all hell but now looking back ridiculously funny..

They have golfing, indoor swimming pools, whirlpools in all of their villas and some of the regular suites have whirlpools also, horseback riding, snowtubing during the Winter months, river trips, paintball. Here's their website Fernwood
