Has anyone found a poem that they will including in their wedding programs in regards to a parent who has passed? I'd like to include one for my Father and I haven't been able to find one that's just right, yet. Please share if you don't mind.

That's a great idea. I'd love to do that for my FI mother. He's so upset that he won't be able to dance with her. I feel so bad!

Yes, I think it's a wonderful way to remember them. In addition to this, I'm going to have a memory candle at the alter and maybe ask the priest to say a special prayer for him. I don't want to overdo it and make is a somber event, but I definately want to remember him and the joy he brought to my life when he was here.

That's a great idea. If you find a poem please post it. I'd love to do that for my mom. I'm having the memorial candle for her as well as a dozen roses to place at the foot of the statue of St. Mary in her memory.

Here are a few I have found in the past and still undecisive of which I will use: Good luck......

We used an Irish blessing.

my mom passed away too...I would like to do something like this, only I think I'm going to put her picture up on the piano with the poem. Or, her pic with just a memory candle. Something subtle.

To my Dad
Dear Daddy I miss you so, more than anyone will ever know. I always dreamed of you giving me away on this my wedding day.
Well Dad, that day is finally here and I find it very hard not to shed a tear.
