Poem for Grandpa with Alzheimers....

Hi girls!

So, FH grandpa has alzheimers and is not well enough to attend the wedding.... we wanted to put a picture up of him with a poem or something so people know the situation and don't think that he has passed.

I know, it's sort've a strange request.... but has anyone heard of anything like this?? Or, maybe can you recommend something else? We just want to honor him in some way.

I can't think of a poem but what about getting a flip camera or something like that and record family members (his children and grandchildren maybe) sending messages to him saying they wish he could be there today but are thinking of him. If you're having a videographer maybe he can help you with this. You can almost set up a little 'send messages to grandpa' booth or something.

Idk, this is just the first thing I thought of. I'll keep thinking!

we had the same issue with DH's grandmother...she did not come to the wedding either bc of alzheimers. all we did was put something in the program about even though they arent here with us we are thinking of them
