Polaroid Guest Book??

Polaroid Guest Book??

I tried searching for threads but couldnt find what I was looking for... probably will show up as a suggested link after I post this but oh well.

Few questions
1. If you have done this, what did you write to place near the camera and book to let people know what to do

2. Where can I find a somewhat cheap book to place the photos in?

3. Is this a giant waste? I have the film and camera already (cause i dig taking polaroids) but would hate to take up the space and have this fugly table if there are going to be like 3 pictures and thats it.

tia ladies!

I've never done it, but it sounds like a fun idea!

Michaels might have scrapbook albums... you could buy corners and leave some markers there.

that might be easier (cough cough.. cheaper) than getting the special polaroid book. thanks for the idea!

A problem i've posted in the past about is that after a few years - the Polaroids' fade. A friend of mine did it for her friends' shower and after i think 3 years - the pics are completely faded & worthless..

I have a buttload of black and white polaroid film but you raise a really good point... Might have to scan them and go digital just for prosperity

Yes!!! What i'm going to do is do a digital guest book. I'm going to ask one person to take the pics and have people sign in a spot and designate that spot for their pics!

Do you have someone all picked out that will stand there all night? Instructions on how to use the camera?

Details!!

It won't be all night...just when people are walking in... I will show him how to use my camera...it's pretty basic..

i ordered mine from the knot - it's really pretty but i wish it had more pages! i have a ton of photos just shoved in the back :( i would definetly either make ur own, or just google it. i know there are websites that sell a whole package with the book, camera & film if u need all of that... good luck!

Re: Polaroid Guest Book??

ps: i didn't have anyone 'man the table' and it worked out fine! people still loved it & i have a ton of photos! also if u dont mind shelling out the extra dough, my cousin had an actual photo-booth from NYCPhotobooth. it was so cute! they also had a 'host' that had a book, and put all the photo strips in for u! Ur names & wedding date are also printed on the strip...just another idea???

...i'm also going to dig into some archives and see if i can find the poem i used next to the camera...if i find it i will post!

Re: Polaroid Guest Book??

I ended up (after buying 9 rolls of polaroid film and a camera) making my own book. I used wide wired ribbon, measured the size of a polaroid and hot glued it down so guests could just slide the polarids right into the ribbon 'pocket'. The pics are in my album.
As for how many people used it - we'll know in 3 days, but they BETTER! It took me a lot of time to make!

We did a polaroid guest book, but the planner took the pictures. We bought a scrapbook and double sided tape for the pictures at Michaels. We also bought scrapbooking pens so that people could write in it if they wanted to

Re: Polaroid Guest Book??

thanks for all the different ideas... I think we will end up going with a book that allows you to add pages (or subtract if we get some photo deadbeat guests.)

Just on whim.... anyone know what the photobooth runs cost wise? I thought it was prohibitively expensive?
