A gift certificat for the police store where he has to buy his supplies is always good he will be spending a LOT of $$$$ in January on his supplies so this will really help!

I second this...if he lives on the island he will most likely be going to 'the cop shop' in massapequa. fh is nypd also

I agree, this is the best gift, its alot of out of pocket money, otherwise... MY DH doesn't really want anything police related

definitely save up some money for his gear!!!

when you enter the academy you have to pay nearly $700 or so for all your clothing, materials, work bag, etc. you can take out a loan for it that they give you--but its better if you can pay for it yourself.

i would honestly just try and save up some cash for him.

go into a local Cop Shop and ask them to recommend a better flashlight.

My FF is a police officer, he said that he will definitely need a flashlight, as most police departments won't pay for this. (rechargeable Maglite, and a smaller stream light that fits on the belt)

Fh is in the academy and the trainer recommended this flashlight that costs $165 -- it's one that can light up the inside of a car with dark tinted windows. Well FH went on Ebay and bid on one and won it for $119 dollars. It's perfect, he says.

st. christopher is for protection. not michael
HTH

st. michael signifys = 'St. Michael is one of the principal angels; his name was the war-cry of the good angels in the battle fought in heaven against the enemy and his followers.'

HTH

yes that is right, but would you want to wear st. chris for protection, St. michael is also for pray for us

St. Christopher is more for travelers i do believe. He is in my car!

My fh used to be nypd now he's on long island. Would your fh get a massage? He could use a little relaxation after long hours!
